Chazen Thailand 2014 – Off to a Great Start!

Greetings from Bangkok! We’re having an amazing time so far on Chazen Thailand. Here are some highlights from the start of our trip:ImageOn the first night, we met with alumni at a swanky private event space called “The Campus”. Dinner and drinks were served as we heard from prominent Bangkok-based CBS alums including Eric Ma, Managing Director of Morgan Stanley, and Stephen Briones, Country Head for ING.

ImageFearless tour guides? Check! Our beloved classmates¬†Anak Tangtatswas ’14, Thitiporn Intarathachang ’14 and Pitcha Chaiwichian ’14 have been leading us through beguiling Bangkok in our luxury coach.

ImageThe river cruise was a highlight for everyone. We now know why they call Bangkok “The Venice of the East”… But watch out for the kimono dragons!

ImageA visit with Tos Chirathivat, another CBS alum, and CEO of Central Retail Group. Wow, their new combo hotel/retail project is going to be a sight to behold.

ImageJoe’s Stone Crab? No! It’s this super-secret restaurant in Chinatown, with just 4 tables, found for us by our enterprising guides. The highlight? Delicious local Thai crabs. Who knew?

ImageSmiling, happy CBS Chazen Thailanders!

ImageIn-between time at the pool… Thankful we’re missing the cold spell in NYC.

ImageA visit to SCG (Siam Cement Group).

ImageIn the boardroom, learning about SCG’s plans for expansion (and opportunities for enterprising MBA grads).

ImageReclining Buddha. We think he’s relaxing after a long day of company visits.

ImageMore buddhas.

ImageLike Thai warriors of ages past, we continue on!
